The STA Level 2 Award for Fire Marshall Training is a one-day course for those who require basic knowledge and skills in fire safety management at work. The course is suitable for anyone who may be expected to undertake the roles & responsibilities of the fire warden.
The STA Level 2 Award for Fire Marshall Training is designed for supervisors, managers, or anyone with a specific responsibility for workplace fire safety. Learners who successfully complete this qualification will be able to perform the role of fire marshal/fire warden, as well as helping to increase general fire safety awareness in the workplace.
Learners may complete this qualification as a stepping stone to a career in health and safety specialising in fire safety, alternatively they may undertake this qualification to compliment another role.
The course is comprised of a mixture of theoretical technical knowledge and practical learning to enhance the learner experience. Learners will cover topics including hazards and risks, fire risk management and ‘duty of care’ responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act and Management of Health and Safety Regulations.

This course carries a 3-year validity period, learners are encouraged to ensure that they keep up-to-date with industry standards and practice through current industry guidance documents and regular staff training.
The learner is required to complete a new 1-day STA Level 2 Award for Fire Marshall Training course before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
