The STA Level 2 Award in Swimming Pool Water Testing is designed to provide learners with the theory and skills to competently test swimming pool and spa water and have a basic understanding of the outcomes of those tests.
The STA Level 2 Award in Swimming Pool Water Testing is intended for those who may be required to complete pool water testing as part of their role. Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners may complete the above tasks independently and record the results accordingly.
Learners may complete this qualification as a stepping stone to a career in pool maintenance and management. Alternatively, they may undertake this qualification to compliment another role.
This course covers the theory and practical skill of water testing, basic understanding of those outcomes and the recording of results. The course is predominantly classroom based with exception of the practical task of performing a pool water test.

This course carries a 5-year validity period—learners are encouraged to ensure they keep up-to-date with industry standards and practice through current industry guidance documents and continuing professional development (CPD).
The learner is required to complete a new STA Level 2 Award in Swimming Pool Water Testing course before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
